Devdutt Padikkal joins the team
According to the report of Indian Express, ‘KL Rahul has been ruled out of the third test. Devdutt Padikkal has been included in the Indian team in his place. Let us tell you that both the teams are tied at 1-1 in the series, so both the captains will be eyeing to take the lead in the series by winning the Rajkot Test.

Rahul is not completely fit yet
When the senior selection committee had selected KL Rahul for the last three Test matches, it had kept the condition that he would play the third match only if he was fit. His participation was subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team. According to the report, Rahul is not fully fit yet. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja has got the green signal to play the third test. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja were injured in the first Test played in Hyderabad. After this, both the players were out of the second Test played in Visakhapatnam. During the first Test, Rahul complained of pain in his right quadriceps.
Injury increased the problems of the Indian team
The problems of the Indian team in the Test series against England are not showing any signs of diminishing. Rahul and Jadeja got injured after the first test. Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the series due to injury after the second Test played in Visakhapatnam. Apart from this, Virat Kohli was out of the first 2 tests. After this, he was out of the entire series due to personal reasons. In the first innings of the first Test played in Hyderabad, KL Rahul played an inning of 86 runs in 123 balls. Apart from this, he had scored 22 runs on 48 balls in the second innings.
