Sunday was the fourth and last day of this match and India A defeated the England Lions by 134 runs in this match.

Two spin bowlers Shams Mulani and Saransh Jain played an important role in India A’s victory. Shams took 5 wickets and Saransh took three wickets in the second innings.

England Lions had a target of 403 runs in the third unofficial test. Chasing this, the England team could score only 268 runs. Apart from Ollie Robinson (80) and opener Alex Lees (55), no batsman from England Lions played in the second innings. In this way India won the 3 match series 2-0. Sai Sudarshan was adjudged player of the match. He scored 117 runs in the first innings.

England Lions kneel before Mulani-Jain
Earlier, England had started the fourth and final day with yesterday’s score of 83/2. Soon Lees completed his half-century. He was looking in colour. But, when England Lions’ score was 120 runs, he was trapped LBW by spinner Shams Mulani. He was out after scoring 55 runs. Then the score of England Lions was 120 runs for 4 wickets. Robinson scored 80 runs in the second innings
It seemed that India A would easily win this match. But, fast bowlers Ollie Robinson (80 runs) and James Coles (31 runs) added 104 runs for the 8th wicket, taking England beyond 200 runs. Mulani once again became the pair breaker and ended the partnership by dismissing Coles. After this Saransh dismissed Robinson and after this the victory for India was just a formality.

India-A won the series
In the match, India A had scored 192 runs in the first innings. In response, England Lions’ first innings ended at 199 runs. That means he got a lead of 7 runs. India-A scored 409 runs in the second innings. In this way England got the target of 403 runs.
