Delhi: Struggle over rights continues, Center moves Supreme Court

There is a tussle between the Center and the Delhi government regarding the right of administrative services on Delhi. Moving forward in this episode, this time the Central Government has approached the Supreme Court. The Central Government has asked to review the decision of the Constitution Bench of May 11. The Supreme Court had said that only the Delhi government will have the authority over administrative services. However, on Friday, the Central Government has brought an ordinance, in which it has been talked about the formation of the National Capital Civil Service Authority. This authority will do transfer-posting and vigilance work in Delhi. The decision of transfer and posting will not be taken by the Chief Minister (CM) alone, but a decision will be taken on this subject on the basis of majority.

BJP MLA and Delhi Leader of Opposition Ramveer Singh Bidhuri took the side of the ordinance and said that I welcome the ordinance brought by the Centre. I hope Arvind Kejriwal will have the spirit to focus on the development of Delhi in future keeping better coordination with the Lt Governor and the Central Government. According to the ordinance issued by the Central Government on Friday, the authority of three people will be formed. It will be known as the National Capital Civil Services Authority (NCCSA). In this, the responsibility of transfer and appointment of all Group A and Danix officers will be entrusted to it. This authority will be headed by the CM, Home Secretary, and Chief Secretary of Delhi. Whatever decision will be taken by this authority, it will be sent to LG. Only the Governor will have the power to take the final decision.
