After the resounding victory of the Congress party in the Karnataka Assembly Elections and after several rounds of discussions regarding the CM face for about five days, Karnataka finally got its Chief Minister (Karnataka CM). Congress has officially announced Siddaramaiah as CM and DK Shivakumar as Deputy CM. Both the leaders will take oath on May 20 at 12.30 pm in Bengaluru. The Congress is all set to send a message of opposition unity by inviting key opposition leaders to the swearing-in ceremony of its government in Karnataka.

Leaders of many opposition parties are being invited

After the resounding victory of the Congress in Karnataka, many like-minded opposition parties are calling it a victory for the entire opposition. Under this effort, Kharge (Mallikarjun Kharge) has talked and met many opposition leaders. On the other hand, Nitish Kumar has also met many opposition leaders and advised them to come on a common platform. The victory of the Congress party is being considered as a huge victory for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024.

According to media reports, Congress party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge first invited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on May 20. At the same time, invitations have also been sent to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav. Both these leaders have also accepted the invitation and have said that we will definitely attend it. Leaders of like-minded parties are being invited to this function. It may also include West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, AAP CM Arvind Kejriwal, former SP CM Akhilesh Yadav, NCP’s Sharad Pawar, Mahavikas Aghadi leader Uddhav Thackeray and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut.
