The family members started shouting for help as the car started sinking. After this the people around ran for help and took them to the hospital. A woman traveling in the car died during treatment at the hospital. The woman has been identified as Bhanurekha.

According to media reports, Karnataka’s new CM Siddaramaiah has expressed condolences to the family regarding this incident. Along with this, Siddaramaiah has also announced compensation for the victims. CM Siddaramaiah visited the hospital and said condolences to the family. Along with this, the CM said that an assistance of Rs 5 lakh would be provided to Bhanurekha’s family. The CM has assured all possible help to all the family members.
