BCCI’s strictness has no effect on Ishan Kishan, will not play Ranji Trophy, will make a comeback from T20 tournament

New Delhi. Even BCCI’s strictness does not seem to have any effect on Ishan Kishan. A day after the BCCI advised the players included in the central contract to participate in the Ranji Trophy, reports have come that Ishan will return to competitive cricket. But, instead of the final round of Ranji Trophy starting from February 16, he will make a comeback on the field through the DY Patil T20 Cricket Tournament.

According to media reports, Ishan Kishan, who has not been taking part in any competitive cricket since December last year, has ignored the Ranji Trophy citing inadequate preparation. He was a part of the Indian team for the South Africa tour, but he withdrew from the tour midway citing mental fatigue.

Ishan is ignoring Ranji Trophy
After this, neither the BCCI nor the Indian team management knew where Ishan Kishan was. Head coach Rahul Dravid had also made it clear after the Vizag Test that Ishaan’s name will be considered for selection only when he plays Ranji Trophy. Despite this, Ishaan is not playing Ranji Trophy.

Already busy preparing for IPL
Recently it was reported that he was preparing for IPL 2024 with the Pandya Brothers in Baroda. Only after this, BCCI had asked to give notice to all those players who, despite not being injured, are not playing Ranji Trophy and have already started preparing for IPL.

Pathan also raised questions on Ishaan
Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan is also not happy about this episode of Ishan Kishan. Last week itself, he had raised questions on Ishaan by tweeting on Twitter.

Jurel can play in place of Bharat in the third test
India is currently playing a five-match Test series against England. This is Team India’s last international series before the T20 World Cup to be held in June. The board has also announced the team for the remaining three tests of the series.

Where Virat Kohli will not play all three tests due to personal reasons. At the same time, KL Rahul is also out due to injury. KS Bharat and Dhruv Jurel are the two wicketkeeper batsmen in the team. According to reports, the selectors may choose Jurel in place of Bharat as the wicketkeeper for the third Test to be held in Rajkot.
