New Delhi. Australia also defeated West Indies by 83 runs in the second ODI played in Sydney. With this, the host country took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Only one Australian player, Sean Abbott, overshadowed the entire Caribbean team.

West Indies had a chance to win this second ODI. At one time the Caribbean team had fallen 5 wickets of Australia on the score of 91 runs.
