The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested journalist Vivek Raghuvanshi and former Navy Commander Ashish Pathak (Ex Navy Commander Ashish Pathak) in espionage case. The CBI has arrested the duo in the ongoing investigation of a case registered under the Official Secrets Act of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Along with this, both are accused of leaking information about the future plans and policies of the Army and DRDO.

According to the information, the CBI had raided the document leak case after which both were arrested. Giving information in this regard, the officials said that due to the leakage of the document, the relations of other countries with India may be affected. Please tell that journalist Vivesh Raghuvanshi was questioned by the CBI in this matter on Tuesday.

During searches, CBI has seized 48 electronic devices including laptops, tablets, mobile phones, hard disks and pen drives etc. related to the FIR from the named accused and others associated with the said accused. Apart from this, several incriminating documents related to Indian defense establishments have also been seized. Data from cloud-based accounts, emails, social media accounts of the accused and others have also been recovered by the digital forensic experts of CBI. Along with this, both were also alleged that the ex-naval commander, currently working with a private firm, was in possession of classified secret documents related to Indian defense establishments.

The CBI stated that the examination of equipment recovered from the possession of the accused so far has also revealed that the accused was allegedly collecting confidential information relating to India’s defense procurement from various sources and was in contact with several foreign entities, agents, individuals. I was in Along with this, it was also entering into agreements with many foreign organizations for sharing confidential information.
