Hardik Pandya: Before IPL 2022, there used to be a league of eight teams in this league, but last season two teams were entered in this league. Last year the teams of Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants came in IPL and both these teams performed well. When Lucknow reached the playoffs, Gujarat won the title. Hardik Pandya is captaining Gujarat and KL Rahul is captaining Lucknow. In this sequence, now Pandya has made a big disclosure that he had got an offer to play from Lucknow before the captaincy of GT.

Hardik Pandya said in the Gujarat Titans podcast that I was away from cricket due to injury for a long time before IPL 2022. At this stage of life, I was not sure what decision to take for myself as I did not want to do anything. I had offers from several IPL franchises, but I couldn’t decide. I had an offer from a team that was new to the league and their captain was a friend of mine. Maybe I agreed to go on that team because I like working with people I know and who know me well.
