Rohtak. CDE was organized on the occasion of Oral Pathology Day in the Dental College. In this, the chief guest was Dr. SS Lohchab, director of PGIMS. He told that if you have a lip or mouth sore that is not healing, a white or red patch inside the mouth, a lump inside the mouth, pain in the mouth, ear pain, difficulty swallowing or speaking There is a need to be careful if there is a change because these can be symptoms of oral cancer.
Dr. Lohchab congratulated Principal Dr. Sanjay Tiwari and Dr. Mala Kamboj for organizing this CDE. He said that oral cancer is an important topic, which needs intensive research. Academic Affairs Ashok Chauhan extended best wishes on Oral Pathologist Day. Dean Dr. Kuldeep Singh Lalar said that all the departments should organize as many CMEs as possible. Dr. Sanjay Tiwari said that there should be detailed information about the identification of dental doctors and symptoms of oral cancer. Dr. Mala Kamboj, Head, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology said that on National Oral Pathologist’s Day, Pathophrengy 2.0 program was organized under the aegis of IAOMP. The program took place under the leadership of respected teachers of the department, Professor Dr. Anjali Narwal and Associate Professor Dr. Anju Devi and under the guidance of Senior Residents, Dr. Gopikrishnan V and Dr. Geetika. All the postgraduates of the department Dr. Riddhi, Dr. Shreya, Dr. Shashi, Dr. Madhur, Dr. Akanksha, Dr. Jagveer, Dr. Ajay and Dr. Pooja were actively involved in the event.

Dr. Mala Kamboj told that the CDE was delivered by Dr. Jitin Kharbanda, Professor ESIC Dental College, New Delhi. Dr. Sanjay Tiwari, Principal PGIDS encouraged the department for hosting the CDE. A pamphlet on oral precancer and cancer awareness was also released after the cutting of the cake by Director Dr. SS Lohchab. The second lecture was by Dr. Deepika Mishra, Head, Department of Oral Pathology, AIIMS, New Delhi.
Conducted 3 workshops on techniques of precancer, grossing, tissue processing
3 workshops on Oral Precancer and Cancer Detection Techniques, Grossing, Tissue Processing and Special Stains were conducted for the students. Dr. Mala Kamboj said that fun-filled educational activities like crossword, quiz, origami, 3D cube painting were also conducted during the day. Dr. Sunita Singh, Dr. Virendra Singh, Dr. Harneet Singh, Dr. Ambika Gupta, Dr. Nisha Marwah, Dr. Meenu, Dr. Promil, Dr. Sonia, Dr. Veena and Dr. PS Gill were present on the occasion. .
