The Islamabad High Court has given a big relief to former Pakistan PM Imran Khan. On March 17, the court canceled Imran’s arrest warrant while hearing the Toshakhana case. Imran Khan had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to get relief from his arrest. The court has accepted Khan’s plea.

The politics of Pakistan has been heated for the past several days regarding the arrest of Imran. Ruckus is being created by his supporters across the country. Imran’s supporters also demonstrated violently at many places. During this, the police also retaliated against the protesters and took many people into custody. At the same time, to stop the protest, tear gas shells were released, at some places lathis were used. Imran’s supporters were demanding withdrawal of the arrest warrant issued against Khan.

Police could not arrest Imran

After the issue of the arrest warrant, the Pakistan police had also reached to arrest Imran, but could not arrest Imran even after hours of efforts due to obstruction of his supporters. After this, in view of increasing violence across the country, the Lahore High Court had stayed the arrest of Imran till the next hearing. Due to this the operation was postponed. Today, the Islamabad High Court has suspended the arrest warrant while conducting the hearing.

Court had issued non-bailable arrest warrant

Explain that the court had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case after he did not attend the hearing. Also, while issuing the order, on March 7, Imran was asked to appear in the court. After this, Imran filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to avoid his arrest.
