26/11 Mumbai Attacks: On November 26, it will be 15 years since the attack on Mumbai city by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists from Pakistan. The 15th anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai attacks will be celebrated. In such a situation, Israel has declared Pakistan’s Lashkar-e-Taiba as a terrorist organization. Israel has officially declared Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) a terrorist organization to mark the 15th anniversary of the tragic Mumbai terror attacks, the Israeli Embassy said in a statement.
What did the Israeli Embassy say?
The Israeli Embassy said that it has completed all the necessary procedures to declare Lashkar-e-Taiba as a terrorist organization and this decision has been taken independently without any formal request from the Indian government. Two of the six Jewish victims of the 26/11 terrorist attack at Mumbai’s Chabad House were Israeli citizens. They were identified as Rabbi Gabriel Holtzberg and his pregnant wife Rivkah Holtzberg. Israel lists as terrorist organizations only those that operate within or near its borders.
America has declared many organizations around the world as global terrorist organizations. In view of the recent attacks by Hamas, Israel’s Ministry of Defense and Foreign Affairs has designated Lashkar-e-Taiba as a terrorist organization for the past few months. Israel said that the attack carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Mumbai on 26 November 2008 was heinous.
