Twitter New Feature News:Twitter is going to bring a new feature to identify Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated images. Due to the abundance of AI generated photos on social media, people are facing difficulty in differentiating between real and AI generated. This can also give rise to rumours. The company has announced through a thread on its official Community Notes channel on Twitter that it has started testing a new feature called Community Notes for Images. Using this new feature, you can add a note to the image on Twitter. You can also add a note as a contributory. User and contributory can tell about the image in this whether it is a real image or AI generated.

“Today we’re rolling out a feature that puts Notes on Media, a superpower, in the hands of contributors,” Twitter said. “If you’re a contributor with a writing influence of 10 or more, you’ll get a new option will appear. In this, you can mark your notes as “About the image” on some tweets. This option can be selected when you believe that the media itself is potentially misleading, regardless of what is shown in the Tweet.

Simply put, “About the image” will be marked slightly differently in Tweets to help users understand that the note is related to the media file in the Tweet and not the Tweet itself. In addition, Twitter says that the rating in the ‘About the image’ section will help identify those cases. Where a note may not apply to a specific Tweet.

feature limits

Twitter says that the ‘About the Image’ feature of Community Notes currently has some limitations. Currently, this feature supports tweets with a single image. However, the company is planning to increase it further. In a blog post, the company said it plans to expand this to videos, tweets with multiple images and videos, and even GIFs.

Twitter said that “currently this feature is experimental and only supports Tweets with a single image. We are actively working on expanding it to support Tweets with multiple images, GIFs and videos.”

Twitter said, right now this feature is not completely impenetrable. There may also be some errors in this. However, work is being done to improve it further. Some Tweets with false claims may not have Community Notes.
