Vivo Y78 Launch News: Smartphone company Vivo is known for its mid range smartphones. Vivo Y78 is the latest mid-range phone. After China, the company decided to launch it in Singapore. This phone was launched in the market at the beginning of the month. This Vivo model looks very similar to the model Y78+ spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. It is estimated that this model may have been launched with a different name.

This mid-range smartphone from Vivo also has some interesting features. It has a curved display, which is slowly making its way into the mainstream of mid-range phones. Vivo Y78 has a modern camera design with two large circular cameras on the raised rectangular shape. Thanks to the Qualcomm chipset, 5G support is also available in the phone. Overall the Vivo Y78 is a good mid-range package, currently it is not available in India. If Vivo decides to bring the Y78 to the Indian market in the future, here’s what we can expect from the phone.

Vivo Y78 specification

The Vivo Y78 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, interestingly Chinese counterparts use the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor more. The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which you can expand using a microSD card. The phone comes with a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a punch-hole at the centre. Inside the punch-hole is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. The Y78 runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13.

This smartphone gives you a 64MP main sensor at the back. The main camera is a triple setup that includes a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP portrait camera. Inside the Y78 is a 5000mAh battery that offers 44W charging support. However, it is not clear whether the company will ship a power adapter with the phone or not. The smartphone is 7.9mm thick and weighs 177 grams. For connectivity, you get 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and charging. At the same time, both SA and NSA are supported for USB-C port for media transfer.
