The board of ChatGPT maker OpenAI removed CEO Sam Altman late Friday night. The company has announced this by issuing a statement. Now Meera Murthy will work as interim CEO in his place. Currently, the company is looking for a permanent CEO.
According to media reports, OpenAI company has issued a statement on Friday night. In which it has been said on behalf of the company that Sam Altman has been dismissed from the post of CEO of the company. According to a statement from the company, the board has lost confidence in Sam Altman’s leadership abilities. After which it has been decided to remove him from this post. The company also said in a blog post that the decision to remove Sam Altman came after a thoughtful review process by the board. Which concluded that he was not consistently forthright in his communications with the board, which was hampering his ability to carry out his responsibilities. The company further said that OpenAI’s Chief Technology Officer Mira Muratti will serve as interim CEO while it conducts a formal search for a permanent CEO.

Sam Altman has given his reaction after being removed from the post of CEO. He has made a tweet from his X account. In which he wrote- “I really liked the time I spent with OpenAI. It was a bit of a game changer for me personally and hopefully for the world. I love working with talented people here. what is next. There will be more to say about this later.”
Let us tell you that 38-year-old Sam Altman has previously headed Y Combinator. He is a serial entrepreneur and investor.
