Apple Music Classical app launched on Android.

Apple Music News: Apple Music Classical is now available on the Google Play Store for Android users. The app will now allow Android users to enjoy classical music exclusively. This app is an extension of Apple Music services. Works with Apple Music subscriptions. Apple had announced to launch a music app of classical music in 2021. The app was launched on the iPhone in March this year. The app has been launched for Android before being released on iPad and Mac.

Over five million tracks are found on the app “from new releases to well-known masterpieces, as well as thousands of other albums”. In addition, it contains over 50 million data points with data attributes from 20,000+ composers, 115,000+ unique works, and 350,000+ movements.

Users can search for tracks by “composer, work, conductor, even catalog number. Users can quickly find the specific recording they want.” The audio quality of music in the app is 192 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res. In addition, when searching for music in the app, users will find all of its recordings as well as “Editor’s Choice”. Apple Music Classical runs on Android 9 or later. The app is available worldwide except for China, Japan, Korea, Russia, and Taiwan where Apple Music operates.

Apple will shut down My Photo Stream

Apple will be shutting down its free iCloud feature ‘My Photo Stream’ on July 26. Users who are still using this feature will have to switch to iCloud before that date. My Photo Stream is set to close on July 26, 2023. Apple has stated that ‘My Photo Stream’ was introduced in 2011 with iCloud as a free way to sync photos across various Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.

The app required users to manually save media to their Camera Roll or Library and photos on ‘My Photo Stream’ were only available for a limited time. After that time these photos could not be accessed in iCloud. Also, it didn’t sync photos in their full quality. For these reasons ‘My Photo Stream’ was eventually replaced by the more advanced iCloud Photo Library, which required paid storage. iCloud Photos is meant to allow full quality photo and video sync between Apple devices and does not require users to move their photos anywhere.
