Gujarat Ahmedabad based EV start-up Matter has launched its first electric motorcycle in the Indian market. The e-motorcycle is the first model to come with a manual gearshift. Matter has launched its first geared electric motorcycle called AERA.
Electric motorcycle brand Matter has introduced its new Era with four variants. They have been named Aira 4000, Aira 5000, Aira 5000+, 6000+. The company has currently announced the pre-registration prices of the Aira 5000 and Aira 5000+. The Aera 5000 and Aera 5000+ are priced at Rs 143999 and Rs 153999 respectively.
The AERA 5000 and AERA 5000+ variants of the Matter are powered by a 10kW motor paired with an in-house developed 5kWh battery pack. It has several patented technologies including the Integrated Intelligent Thermal Management System (IITMS) which uses active liquid cooling. The motor is mated to a Hypershift 4-speed manual transmission. The 6000+ variant will have a 6kWh battery pack. The claimed range for the two variants is 125 km, with the electric motorcycle achieving 0-60 kmph in under six seconds. The battery of the motorcycle can be fully charged in 5 hours. Can be charged with fast charging in 2 hours. It gets 4 riding modes and disc brakes with single channel ABS and dual sensors.
Matter AERA Specifications
The Era e-motorcycle features a 7-inch LCD touchscreen with 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also has a 9-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU). Other smart features include predictive range, battery states, vehicle sharing, accident detection and OTA updates. Drivers can check Aera’s details from a smart application. The Mater Aira gets 3 years or unlimited kilometer warranty along with 3 years of roadside assistance and AMC/labor coverage.
