Kangana Ranaut on Emergency film: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has rejected claims that her upcoming film Emergency will not show the bad image of Congress. He also said that this film will not be released during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
It is being told that this film of Kangana is not a biopic but a period drama, which is based on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. If reports are to be believed, Kangana said that she has not taken the side of any political party through her film.
The film will not be released around elections
When asked about the Emergency claims, Kangana Ranaut said “If you want to know a person then go by his actions, not his words.” When asked that according to his actions, you are making a film .You are the director.” To this the actress replied, “Then you watch the film. The film will be released but I am not sure whether it will be released around the elections or not. It has nothing to do with elections or any political party.”
Did not take side of any political party
The actress said that I would also like to say that this is also a tribute to our PM, who was elected thrice. This is the story of his life, whatever good and bad he did. As I said, a woman is representative in her own right. But to assume in advance that I have taken the side of one (political party) is a wrong assumption.
Indira ji was threatened
Talking about the film, he also said that while doing research for the Emergency, he came to know that Indira Gandhi had been ‘bullied’ in the past. He said, “I myself have worked on the biopic of Mrs. Gandhi during the Emergency. How Nixon had treated him, how badly he had spoken in the media and how much he had bullied her but now, through violence and only with love, PM Modi is truly holding the torch of humanity. We Indians feel very proud.”
The film may release on November 24
In the film, she is playing the role of India’s first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhary, late Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade in lead roles. A teaser of the film was also released.
