Training will be held in October
It is being told that in the meeting chaired by the UT Advisor with the DGP, a target has been set to complete this recruitment process in record time. Selected candidates will be sent for training in October. Explain that under the instructions of the Central Government, the recruitment process of about 1000 police personnel in Chandigarh Police will be completed before the 2024 general elections. After 2018, now the youth of 18 to 25 years will be able to apply for the recruitment of constable posts in the police. At the same time, 33 percent posts will be reserved for women.

Recruitment will also be done through sports quota
In this police constable recruitment, recruitment will also be done on sports quota seats. Around 50 posts will be filled from national and international level players. This recruitment will be different from normal recruitment, but this recruitment process will also run simultaneously. Along with this, a separate cadre of Constable IT is being planned in Chandigarh Police. Around 180 constables will be recruited from IT experts, who will handle the IT system of UT Police. The educational qualification for general constable will be 12th, but for constable IT wing, the educational qualification can be asked for B.Tech degree.
