CBSE Board latest Guidelines: Board issued new guidelines for schools, ban on use of WhatsApp

CBSE Board latest Guidelines: The Central Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday issued fresh guidelines for all affiliated schools conducting Class 10 and Class 12 board exams this year. In the set of guidelines, CBSE said that the schools conducting board exams can use only plastic bags for packaging of answer sheets before they are sent through postal services to the concerned regional office.

The board said that plastic bags will not be used if the sealed answer sheets are delivered to the regional office by anyone personally or with the help of the city coordinator.

The board warned the schools

Most importantly, the CBSE board has warned schools that WhatsApp messages should not be used for communication with the board or any other authority during exams.

“Observations on question papers, if any, should be communicated to the board using the OECMS link shared by CBSE,” the board said in the guidelines.

CBSE said that the new set of guidelines has been issued after discussions with the stakeholders. CBSE Board Exams started from 15th February 2023 and will continue till 21st March for class 10 and 5th April for class 12th. This year more than 38 lakh students have registered for the board exams.

Board has shown displeasure on Chat GPT

Earlier, the board had banned the use of Chat GPT and said that those found guilty of using the platform would be booked for using unfair means.
