CAT 2023: This time more than 3 lakh candidates have registered for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023. If we talk about women candidates, there have been one lakh more registrations. According to IIM Lucknow, there has been a 30 percent increase in registration this year as compared to last year. Whereas, last year there was an increase of 11 percent in registration.

According to the information, CAT 2023 exam will be held on 26 November. Last year, around 2.55 lakh candidates had registered, while in 2021, around 2.31 lakh candidates had applied. If reports are to be believed, exam coordinator Professor Sanjeet Singh said that this time a record 3.3 lakh candidates have registered for CAT 2023, which is the highest in the history of CAT exam which started in 1977. There was a slight decline during the Corona period

Examination coordinator Professor Sanjeet Singh also told that there was a slight decline in applications during Corona. There were approximately 2.77 applications in 2020 and 2.29 in 2021. Now there has been a continuous increase in it since last year i.e. 2022.

Lakhs of women candidates applied

There has also been an increase in the registration of women candidates. Of the total registered candidates, about 1.17 lakh are women. According to the exam coordinator, IIMs are encouraging women candidates. This is the reason why more women candidates are applying.
